Medical Ministry
Medical missionary work was one of the founding ministries of Subbamma among the untouchables. This hospital was a generous donation of Vision for All, Switzerland.
The work continues under the leadership Dr. Sungti Jamir (Surgeon) and Dr. Nadia Jamir (general family practice doctor) to serve the marginalized people in the region as well as in the local tribal areas. The local villages are reach through weekly medical camps. Patients are then invited to our hospital for surgeries and in-patient care. Our vision here is to offer hope and compassionate care to those who are hurting.

Meet the Jamir’s
New Doctors Arrive for the Subbamma Christian Hospital! Nadia, an aspiring ob-gyn specialist from Switzerland and her Surgeon husband, Sungti, from Nagaland desired to invest their lives for the long-term development by bringing stability and consistent service. They have chosen the Subbamma Christian Hospital as the place to fulfill this commitment.
Sungti desires to make the hospital self-supporting in the long-run and plans to train-up the next generation of leadership. We wait on the Lord for consistent financial support until we reach self-sufficiency. You can read their testimonies below.
